Bonus tip: get as many as you need, and then a couple more. Sounds like I’m some kind of salesman, but trust me. I bought some to create a simple charging station for my vr controllers. Works great. Now I want some more to charge other things with the cables I already have laying around (I had some more). Didn’t have the right adapter pieced for in my devices. (Needed usb c, only had micro b and lightning). Now, a few years after I bought them to make that charging stand thingy, they don’t sell this exact one anymore. Bummer.

I already don’t worry about that anymore using the anti-flat tyres I have on my bike. I can just ride through a pile of broken glass without a worry.

I can imagine that spammers nowadays can write a simple script that drops everything from the + to the @, so while that may work for some spammers, others will just use your normal email address. I’ve resorted to creating a catchall for my personal domain. Also not ideal, but it’ll hopefully take them a while to figure that one out for everyone using their own domain.

It does force it, if I’m not mistaken. Rejecting all should be as easy as accepting all. The problem is with enforcement.

Interestingly enough there seem to be two types of playlists that get pushed in ads. One is a normal one with a big variety of artists. That seems the least profitable to me. The other only has songs by one “artist” that seems to only have remixes of popular songs. That’s the sketchy one, in my opinion.

I’ve been getting a lot of ads on instagram for Spotify playlists. I wonder if that has anything to do with it, because how else would you make money from a playlist of all things?

It’s easy for techies like us, yeah. If we don’t want to go too advanced with the automation stuff. I wouldn’t even dare ask my mum to set up her own stuff, even if she begged me for it. It’s techie-friendly. Not user-friendly (yet).

If it’s there (and not terrible), people will use it. Will it break even on the costs? Maybe. Maybe not. Still worth it, however.

Just don’t forget that the “oo” is pronounced as the “oh” in “oh shit” and not like the “oo” in “cool” or “mood”. Same for the “a” in “zak”. It’s closer to “ahhh” as in “oooohh and ahhh” or “pasta” than it is to the “a” in “back”

Haha, true. Though this time it might be to include 4 rails (2 each direction) and make the interchanges a little more efficient. Last time it was making a complete rail blueprint book chunk-aligned (along with my walls book). Definitely worth the effort!

It used to be quite a big deal, back in the day. The other day I read a really old thread on some local forum here in NL, and it said that you couldn’t sign up with an “anonymous” email address, such as hotmail or gmail. Only provider-issued email addresses were accepted there so “they had an idea who they were dealing with”. Times really did change a lot.

There are definitely a lot of developers that are like that, but you also have the open source junkies. The latter group would go absolutely bananas.

Factorio: It’s too addicting. You just want to keep going, even though you have better things to do.

I highly doubt it, but perhaps it’ll change in the future. BF4 was like that, too, for absolute ages. Couldn’t do good evasive maneuvers with helicopters, no matter how much you wanted it. Then, by some magical spell of good luck, they started updating and reworking things, including the flight models for helicopters and aircraft. Nowadays you can do loops with your helicopters if you want to.
