Only writing here because it seems to be GrapheneOS related, not app specifically, and I’m not award of other community dealing with this software.

I currently have OpenBoard with two languages installed- English and my native. My issue happens no matter if I have open board or GrapheneOS stock keyboard setup.

When I’m trying to erase the first two letters of a word I’m currently working on, it will then highlight the whole word + the space before it. Any change I will make from now on, will delete that space and will merge these two words together. It only happens if I already finished working on this word and I’m going back to fix this.

Video attached below to maybe better explain the issue. Any help greatly appreciated

I think this has something to do with the AOSP spell checker. you can disable it in ‘system > languages > spell checker’ and if it’s disabled already, try enabling it and changing the value of ‘default spell checker’ to something else and then disabling the spell checker again.

I can reproduce this with the stock GOS keyboard (which is just the AOSP keyboard afaik), but it doesn’t happen when using the ‘Simple Keyboard’.

OpenBoard is based on the AOSP keyboard, which explains why it happens there too.
