The fucker has so many lawsuits. He’s violated so many laws. We saw how long it took for Trump to have suits. I have to believe people are working on them for Musk.

Come on, he’s too rich to actually face any consequences. In US rich people only go to jail if they steal a lot of money from other rich people or if they have dirt on them and have to disappear.

He has such an outrageous amount of wealth that he’ll never be poor. Not even if all his assets are nationalized. He’s probably squirreled away money in as many holes as possible. He will probably never see any proper justice for any of his actions.

This is the sad reality that I fear will be proven true. But at least discovery might publicly humiliate him in new and interesting ways.

i think the only thing stopping him from joining the supremacists is narcissism.

it’s good to see people facing the consequences of their actions though. it’s taken this long to build a case to prosecute Trump. i will be sure to tune in for the Elon Musk edition of Fuck Around and Find Out.

Elon is bonkers, a bully and disconnected from reality. He lives in his own made up world where he thinks he’s perfect and a genius.
Reality keeps breaking into his delusional self-made world.
Eventually he will crack like a carton of eggs dropped from the Burj Khalifa.
Lawsuits will just be one of many realities to shatter his world.
And, he will bring it all on himself, just like trump did.
Elon’s worst enemy on planet Earth is… ELON.

To be Fair and Balanced ®™ to him, popular media really fed into his ego as the “real life Iron Man”, from Tony Stark literally addressing him in a Marvel movie, Star Trek listing him among the great geniuses (lmfao), etc people with personality disorders like definitionally-all-billionaires are going to get caught up in their own farts hype.

I imagine he has burned through a sizable chunk of his wealth lately. Not enough to make a difference to his personal life, but maybe enough to make him fuck off for a while. It will definitely sink twitter at least. With all the terrible decisions he makes I can’t imagine there are many venture capitalists left who are stupid enough to fund another failed endeavour.

His biggest risk is investors losing confidence in him. He uses his name and brand to pull in billions I to companies like Tesla and SpaceX, and when that money floe stops because he becomes too unhinged, his wealth will start to vapourise. A lot of his wealth is actually pure stocks, backed by his companies, which are backed by his ego.

This is why some people theorise thst the Twitter buyout was actually an excuse to sell Tesla stock without making the company plummet. He had to sell stock to get the company, and if he would now sell the company to someone else, he gets the liquidated assets of his purchase without Tesla stock owners realising what he did. Assuming this theory hold water and he’s smart enough tk play the long game, we’ll see him sell Twitter off to some investment firm in a few years.

He could also face actual consequences, as in real life prison, if the SEC can get solid proof of his market manipulation strategies. He has done some pretty sketchy things surrounding Tesla stock and cryptocurrency trading, but proof is very hard to come by. If they go after him with too little proof, they may lose the ability to convict him.

Are there any criminal cases against EM or are they just civil?

If they are just civil, they will basically have no effect on him.

Since Saturday he has had to take a step back from his position at Tesla. The SEC is also coming after him personally and that particular government agency can make him face consequences despite his wealth.

He’s losing SEC related lawsuits about twice per year and at some point they’re going to take some serious action against him. It won’t be this year, it won’t be next year, but I expect that in ten years time he’ll be pretty screwed.

Smart billionaires like Bezos know how to stay out of the spotlight. Pretend billionaires like Trump know how to manipulate the public into giving him money until he dies. Musk survives by his clout alone, and even Tesla fans will abandon him at some point.

Sorry but that just sounds like hopium and just reinforces my belief that:

they will basically have no effect on him.

“The bigger they are, the bigger the fall”

I just hope that phrase does eventually apply to Elon with how much his business pressence has expanded over the last few years.

I definitely have doubts that he will ever face any consequences from the lawsuits. But going into space on a joyride is a pretty risky activity…

Any law with fines as a punishment is a law only the poor have to abide by, at the very least. A lot of laws which are explicitly meant to target wealthy entities like corporations or billionaires have their fines set comically low. Think car manufacturers regularly calculating that it’s cheaper to pay fines than it is to recall thousands of cars with deadly manufacturing faults.
