I think a really important aspect of physical security that people often overlook is retention. It doesn’t matter if your laptop is encrypted if someone grabs it while you’re working and runs. If you have data on your laptop that you don’t want a thief to have, I think it’s worth while to have some kind of physical retention.
For example, my laptop automatically turns off if my hardware key (attached to my belt on a retractable keychain) is removed, or if the laptop is shaken.

Miss the days when laptops had kensington locks
Those were pretty useless most of the time.
Eh just needed to be mediocre enough to deter people. Make it so it seems like another person’s laptop is easier to steal
How do you set something like that up? Also it would be cool to have that with phone, maybe an AirTag style device.
What if you have to go to the bathroom or step in the kitchen for a snack? You shut down your computer every time?
I’m not them, but I could imagine that at home they don’t do it, as it’s less important there
