We dont have much in the way of animals but we have birds. The Tui is common in suburban gardens here, but they are beautiful and even as a local I still like seeing them. Pukekos are everywhere but for those from the UK/ Europe/ USA they’re prett exotic. Down South, Wekas are absolutely everywhere outside the cities and will walk right into people’s homes - I once experienced coitus interruptus when a Weka jumped up on the bed I was in with a guy.

When I was in South Africa I was super excited to see baboons, locally considered something of a nuisance. And in Queensland, Australia, the first time I saw an Australian white ibis, locally known as a bin chicken, the locals must have been very amused to see me chasing it with a camera getting photos

I pirate the odd bit of music and the ocassional film if I cant find it on streaming services, or if I need music in MP3 format for swimming with, vast bulk of what I pirate is music though. And probably less than 10% of all the media I have is pirated. Make something easily available in the format I need at a reasonable price and I’ll happily pay for it

This is going to depend enormously on what your body clock is like, and how flexible it is. Mine is extremely flexible and infinitely reconfigurable so I find shift work is a doddle and I dont get jetlag at all. I’m on a shift right now, and loving it. But some people really struggle with anything that even slightly messes with their natural circadian rythyms and will really struggle with working shifts and it can actually seriously impatc their health. Such people should never be forced into shift work

He’s had nine kids, so you cannot be alone in finding him attractive, but personally I dont see it, at least not now

He wouldnt stop drinking. I knew that when I left him, and still know its the reason now. Miraculously he hasnt drunk himself to death by now ( a bit over ten years later) and I think he may now be in recovery, I hope so for his sake. I found a far far better partner 8 months after we split

No, that would be wrong, but there is always some form of work out there that isnt sex work - it may not be pleasant or well paid though

Its a perfectly reasonable option for those that for whatever reason are unable to meet their needs by more conventional/ socially acceptable means. I do not make use of sex worker services currently but if the need arose in the future I would not rule it out, and would not look down on anyone else for doing so (as long as trafficing is not involved)

Depends what they want me to do. If I’m on board with whatever it is they want me to do I might do it for a lot less. If its something that goes strongly against my beliefs and values though, no amount of money is going to get me to do it

Do you know of a test that has these axes, or more? I would be very interested to take it if so, and I am inclined to agree with you about the political compass test and others like it - they dont capture the true complexity of most people’s political views - I’m all over the place myself
