I couldn’t disagree more. How about we stop trying to run dictatorships all together? No one says we need to flip a light switch and suddenly make the world communist. But there are plenty of communist ideals we can try on under democratic systems. Really easy ones that come to mind are forcing companies to give all employees ownership and/or profit sharing. The world isn’t black and white and history isn’t an example of every possible path forward

It’s always weird to me that people associate Dictatorial Command Economies with Communism. On one hand they like to label themselves as communist but on the other hand y’all really gotta learn to read between the lines. It’s like saying socialism has failed buecase the Nazi’s had socialism in their name.

I would argue that a forum is a type of social media. It’s very different in that it’s as anonymous as you want it to be. But it is still a place where people visit for the purpose of socializing

Shout-out to one of my favorite managers of all time. Lady had some sort of complaint while I was ringing up her order. She asks to speak to my manager so I call someone over. Manager comes over to see what the issue is. Mind you this guy was the kind of person who would get in trouble for working too much OT from upper management. Hard ass worker, everyone loved him, always made friends with the customers. Anyway, she starts going off about her complaint or something and she says “well the customer is always right.” And he calmly looks her in the eye and says “not today ma’am.”
