  • I can’t speak for the EU, but in the US charities are federally recognized and there are tax deductions available for donating to them. This being said, it depends on what specific “Planned Parenthood” you donate to.

Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) works to support health care providers at Planned Parenthood health centers across the country, educate the public on issues of reproductive and sexual health, and advocate for policy to expand access to health care. PPFA is a 501©(3) organization, and donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowable under the law.

Planned Parenthood Action Fund (PPAF) is the advocacy and political arm of Planned Parenthood, fighting to advance and expand access to sexual health care and defend reproductive rights. PPAF is a 501©(4) organization, and donations are not tax-deductible as a charitable contribution or business expense.

  • I’d you’ve never experienced iPhone pre-orders, this is a fantastic feature. You make all your selections now and save it. So when it hits 5am PDT you open the app and tap the order button and you’re done.

Before this you had to do everything when it went live and the system almost always either went down, times out, or was slow.

Years ago we’d wake up in the middle of the night and spam refresh to get it to load. I’d you didn’t get it order within the first 15 mins you wouldn’t get it release day. One time I put my order in 30 mins after pre-orders started and I had to wait two weeks after release. The demand was that high.

  • What’s the proposal? Building a wall is a joke. It doesn’t work; ignores the need for migrant workers for things like farming that don’t have viable alternatives; And ultimately is a big grift by Republican donors to get bloated contacts to build it but never really complete it in anything meaningful way.

  • Netflix’s docuseries are getting this way. 6 Episodes about things that could be covered in 45 mins if they didn’t interview completely pointless “experts” who are experts in drama and nothing else. Or these weird semi-reenactment ones where they use the original people? And the whole thing is still written the Cable TV way where they keep repeating themselves and hyping up whats going to be coming up after the commercial.

  • I’ve theorized (and I’m sure I’m not the first one) that there is a narrow window of people who grew up in the late 90s and early 00s that are in the tech sweet spot in that if they used a lot of technology they had to learn how to troubleshoot it because it didn’t just work. Today things are so stable it’s reasonable to rarely need to learn how things work.

It’s more a mindset than a generation. Someone that just happens to have been born during those years that possess none of those traits is not going to be criticized. Millennials and Gen Z get lumped together on certain topics too, and it doesn’t really matter the year they were born but the opinion they are backing.
