The only way I see myself ever giving it another go is if I manage to get into my NixOS setup for easy replication or something, too much manual tweaking otherwise.
The compromise I arrived at after I migrated to Linux was booting windows off a VHD file on a USB SSD when I really need it. That way I get a portable, fully performant install without it wasting any disk space or messing with my partitions.
I’m no expert but I see no obvious red flags there, should be good to go!
My first idea was to buy one PC with two GPUs with passthrough of GPU and USB input (sitting anyway close), but I got the impression, that is at this moment more something to tinker, then to run “in production”.
I’m under the same impression, I check it every few months but it looks clunky and not worth the trouble. Not something I’d like to rely on right now, that’s for sure.

Said drive is a new one for media and regular everyday usage, not the existing backup drive according to the OP. Btrfs is more than stable enough barring specific RAID configurations, at any rate.
Yeah I guess exfat is the way to go then, it’s how I handle my external SSD rn as well
Edit: Also, I’m not sure how well btrfs handles external drives. Didn’t realize that when I suggested it.

As for the fs to use, exfat is probably a safer bet but btrfs is also an option. I’ve used winbtrfs in the past and it works surprisingly well.
As a Brazilian who grew up in a not too remote area, modchipped PS2s were everywhere growing up, as it was the only realistic option to game for the vast majority. Things have shifted a bit these days, but it did use to be like that.
As a result, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a legit PS2 game or an og Xbox/GameCube for that matter lol.

Anyway, you could in fact do that if you were thinking of trying out other Fedora Atomic images such as Silverblue and whatnot (see also the ublue page listing tons of others, including your bazzite!). This uses different tooling, so unfortunately not in this case.
Yeah, at the of the day whatever they claim comes from dogma is king so being gay/women having bodily autonomy will always be considered some form of sin, regardless of how much they try to be “welcoming” to the people whose actions they claim are inherently sinful.
As a queer person I’m definitely biased, but I’ve always seen acts like those as empty gestures, a mockery of what actual empathy and acceptance are supposed to be. I just don’t see how those can truly flourish within organized religion as I’ve known it, my way or the highway is how it all works by design so it’s a lost cause as far as I’m concerned.
I respect your reaction a lot. The world would be a much more pleasant place if more people were willing to look past their comfort zone and see institutionalized hate for what it is.
I’ve been done with them for most of my life by now but I really didn’t think they could sound much more bigoted, at least not this loudly. Joke’s on me, I guess! This tacitly endorses several major human rights issues going on right now.
They’ve been saying the quiet part out loud for a while when it comes to gay people while also trying here and there to pay lip service to them since it’s not as socially acceptable to hate on that particular minority anymore. This though, is as official and hateful a middle finger as it gets with no punches pulled, particularly at gender diverse folks. At this point I can only hope it leads to more followers realizing the institution is rotten to the core and distancing themselves from them, much like yourself.

Maybe take a look at cheap ESP mics such as the one mentioned here, being cheap so you can have many scattered around is their whole thing. Sound quality isn’t great but if it’s mostly for input it can work. Not sure if replicating the Ring notifications is feasible.
I’m not the pirate I once was when it comes to gaming but there’s always EGS exclusives, games whose lack of regional pricing make them impossible to reasonably buy here, things like that. I’m a patient gamer for the most part so most of the time I can just get it a few years down the line but sometimes even that doesn’t cut it. I avoid doing it to indie developers, but those are usually the few that follow Steam’s recommended pricing guidelines so they tend to be fine anyway.
I pirate unbelievable amounts of tv and movies on a regular basis though through the *arr apps and whatnot, mostly because I refuse to pay for a dozen different streaming services with their rotating content and usually terrible apps. I self host whatever I can to avoid relying on the whims of a few corporations, and the one surviving service so far is Spotify.
