they just want to know if you forgot something or maybe are hiding some spicy stuff (like when you were in jail or were a porn actor etc) . you’d be surprised.

there are a few tricks, e.g. pick one that lives in an environment you will put it in. for example, if you have the tendency to water too much, pick a hydro plant. if you will water with collected rain water and the spot will be sunny, a carnivorous plant. above a radiator in the sun? a plant that lives in hot dry regions, like lithops. on the balcony in sun, rain and frost? a plant that naturally occurs in the mountains
Sometimes a slip is just slip, tho
if those are the plants i think they are, wonder how he will explain the stench. even garlic plants don’t smell that intense
that totally fitional plan would involve CEOs, owners of pharma companies and pharma lobbyists. it would barely be stealing
yeah, that works. just small problems like maybe fixing the boot loader/efi or fstab because disks are enumerated differently or propietary drivers missing. you can also likely just export package manager selections, /etc, /var and your home dir as tarballs to change a fresh install of the same distro into yours.
i also did the reverse: on a dual boot gentoo+debian with 2 HDs, i installed vmware in gentoo and configured the HD of the debian install as HD in the VM and it ran very well. the linux kernel autodetects all drivers at boot anyway. same for X or Wayland nowadays. (long ago, it was different and you would have needed to swap 2 X configs, for example, but nowadays it’s all very flexible and dynamic)
nominally, whenever i order pizza, it becomes the new most expensive thing i’ve eaten, for some mysterious reason that starts with an i and ends with nlfation
i wouldn’t call it backwards. just ruthless in many areas.
storage vendors. hard disk and SSD manufacturers.
ironically published on youtube 😄
servers for data centers often come with IPMI, which allows to remotely operate the server before boot.
you could also have only a data partition encrypted, so it boots the unencrypted OS and you have to SSH in and mount the data partition, entering your password.
a lot of open souce developers get paid by companies tho.
… but hats off for the frenchman Michel Xhaard, who wrote linux driver code for 235 webcams
no, i just checked a package manager. it’s still available on ubuntu. it’s like i said “nvidia-settings”. check your package manager
that looks insanely dangerous.
have thought about this too. it should also be able to spray soap. that would save so much time. basically a car wash for humans
i already have an idea: dropdown to select the date as a UNIX time stamp in roman numerals
a few years ago, when i had an nvidia card and tried the propietary driver, the nvidia settings application was also available for linux/X11. maybe it’s still available it was called “nvidia-settings”. maybe check if it’s still available.
those instant answers are wrong for me 4 in 5 times tho. when using google, 2 in 3 times i have to switch on Search Tools -> Verbatim, visit the results and ctrl+f my search terms. unfortunately startpage and bing also have decayed and don’t have a switch like that. my hope is the new searches will be usable again. there are a few bubbling up.
you do seem like you’re in desperate need of leadership 😄
