Admin of https://kglitch.social, an experimental Kbin instance.
Move now, beat the rush.
There are many foss options in the F-Droid store.
Don’t worry, this time next week they’ll be on to the next thing to be angry and afraid about.
That feeling when you need a Trello board to keep track of all the prosecutions. Love it.
One nice feature of Kbin is you can block domains. So when I block rumble.com right after typing this, I won’t see any more videos from rumble in all communities.
Recently I was doing some Azure integration work, with OAuth, Teams and Outlook. At one point I noticed that logging in with a MS account causes my browser to do ~10 redirects between different services while downloading over 30 MB of Javascript and thought “Huh, this looks like decades of technical debt. Either MS devs are waaay smarter than me or this is a pile of garbage”. I guess both could be true.
Wow, that is pretty nice. Thanks!
The fediverse software I’m building weights the upvotes based on whether the instance has downvotes enabled or not. No downvotes = 0.5 weighting (admin configurable). My thinking is that when there are no downvotes, half of the signal is missing so upvotes from that instance are less useful.
