What if we’re all AI?
What if we’re all AI?
You sure about that? https://i.imgur.com/cfh6BiV.png lol
That may be, but I know my browsing history, even as I get older and older, and I am using StackOverflow hardly at all compared to ChatGPT which I am using almost a scary amount.
I know I am not the only developer, this is how things are going.
ChatGPT is a big, big part of it.
Also, you can have it talk like a catgirl maid, so I find that’s particularly helpful as well.
I bet Google searching in general has gone down too. It’s often times quicker to just ask ChatGPT for an answer, and usually you can tell when an answer is correct or not. It’s like the old days of manually searching on Google for StackOverflow questions and then finding answers, and then trying to determine which one will work.
I wouldn’t on a laptop at all FWIW, need my 24" 1080p monitor for that.
My old work laptop had an integrated cover, my new work laptop just doesn’t lol
Also (in theory) you can stick a VPN in front of it to hide your home IP to prevent DDoS attacks etc.
Actually, exception rethrowing is a real thing - at least in Java. You may not always want to handle the exception at the absolute lowest level, so sometimes you will instead “bubble” the exception up the callstack. This in turn can help with centralizing exception handling, separation of concerns, and making your application more modular.
It seems counter-intuitive but it’s actually legit, again at least in Java. lol
Seriously, we are super blessed to have him.
I have no idea.
