You don’t have to be suicidal to jump on a grenade
With severe burns, that won’t be true for likely several years, maybe never.
I said Schmierkampagne in real life yesterday.
I’m a native English speaker and Zangendeutsch is ruining me.
Is the hexagon a reference to something from a fantasy universe (I know it’s a reference to the pentagon in our world)?
That’s absolutely relevant, lol. I forgot the topic
On the one hand yes, on the other hand, destroying information is akin to wasting food
Bonus points if the death could have been easily avoided, had the character been a mage.
It is like flammable and inflammable then?
With bonus religious tension
I think it’s a variant of #2: the ozone layer is much more susceptible to damage from space flight than we yet realize, and it’s a trade-off between keeping a hospitable home world and interstellar travel. By the time a species is scientifically advanced enough to be technologically capable of it, they learn the risks and decide it’s not worth it.
I’m autistic, so grain of salt, but I’ve been specifically advised to do something that feels like bullying to me by someone with a degree early child development. I think the difference is that I’m unlikely to take it too far, but maybe they were just a radical and I absolutely should not be doing this. What do you guys think:
After a 3-5 year old kid goes to the bathroom, ask if they washed their hands, and if they say no, you make a grossed out face and say “eeeewww, that’s dirty. You need to do that before we can play together.”
It’s obviously a more constructive type of “bullying” than is standard, and you’re supposed to pair it with exaggerated relief and excitement to play as soon as they’ve washed their hands, so the last impression in the kid’s head isn’t rejection, but it still feels mildly iffy to me. I’m fucking terrible with kids though, so I don’t trust my own instincts.
Trans women are women and trans men have high T, it’s not necessarily transphobic, just ten other kinds of bigotry
25.8, 21.9
Divide by 5, multiply by 9, and add 32.
roughly 78.5 and 71.5
So it’s more like ~35C, but it used to be 40? Is that because of constant heat exposure? Like, is my heat tolerance better in the winter?
When I actually check comprehension after hyperfocusing on reading, I’ll realize I’ve picked up mostly vibes. That said, I’m pretty good at putting the pieces together, so for something simple or whose details aren’t vital, it doesn’t really matter. Technical or precise writing is different.
Yeah, I try to get on their level without crouching.
I do worry that this might have a “cried wolf” effect for victims of actual antisemitism.
