This is more just that it’s customisable, doesn’t look like anything except a terminal until you put a desktop environment on it
(more or less all the options look better than windows but I think the reason for that is they’re options and people tend to choose the one they like the look of)
My experience is generally it doesn’t just work straight away unless it’s something I’ve hammered out myself
I am also using one of the more DIY distros and window managers though, so I wouldn’t expect it to without some attention from me to get it hammered out first
That said, once it’s hammered out it continues to work exactly the way I want it to, it doesn’t spy on me, it doesn’t shove ads down my throat every 5 minutes
Would be an interesting experiment to see how non techy windows/mac users would get on if you just put stock mint/pantheon on their systems but I get the feeling it would not be as smooth as if they just had the thing everyone knows all the flaws of already
Clearly you should just ship it with the debugger and call it a day
I think it’s just as much a hivemind if not moreso than Reddit. Also, probably way easier to make bots for too
My old projects still have camelCase sprinkled around, you can tell which bits are new and old depending on whether it’s camel or kebab
Have been defaulting to kebab case for variable and function names in all languages recently because of cargo yelling at me
Pascal case for class names cause c#, snake case for python files because it doesn’t like kebab
Screaming case for env files because that’s what everybody else does
I couldn’t tell you the actual mineral/vitamin or whatever most of the time but I definitely get cravings when I’m missing something

I’ve been trying with helix bindings for code recently, used to use the neovim plugin
I find both too laggy/slow to start up/buggy personally, feels like I’m fighting with the editor sometimes
The helix plugin is pretty good but not customisable and I’m not using the default scheme
Teams as a PWA installed via edge seems to be the best way to make management happy enough and works better than the windows client sometimes
I’m kinda of the opinion windows is just the pointless middle ground between Mac and Linux, to my knowledge the only advantage it has left nowadays is active directory
That said it prevents apple from getting a monopoly on the pc market I guess

Honestly doing it again I’d just write in xamarin or something not web orientated because as it turns out the web app is going to need to be separate anyway

I used to be one of those fanboys when I was younger, but that was driven more by the fact that they weren’t iPhones than anything particularly good about Android
Used to be a fan of OnePlus but they’ve become like every other phone company now from what I hear
