Fair. I guess I never really needed to deal with that since I upload in original. That and Google Photos Takeout Helper made migrating easy for me.

Not entirely disagreeing with you but, what exactly is “malicious” about separating photo and metadata? It could be just how their servers process and stores those photos, with the added benefit of geotagging videos.
I use Google Photos and upload in original quality. When I download from takeout, the metadata is still in the original files. Iirc, only if you select upload in “high quality” where they compress it again, do you lose the metadata in the file stored in the cloud.
If you like Hollow Knight and Sekiro, Nine Sols is another game I’d recommend. Kind of a combination of the two, the 2D traversal and game mechanics of HK, with the unforgiving parry heavy combat of Sekiro.
Yup. When the game ends, you will see a list of player IDs you’ve met during your journey
Not the same studio, but same director and music composer
I don’t know if this helps you, but in computer science there’s a dataset called CelebA containing huge amounts of celebrity face photos, original and cropped with some basic attributes annotations, that is used to train various deep learning models.
The “fuck you I got mine” mindset. Sigh
Can’t deny that. It’s quite absurd a company big as Sony can’t deliver the same software support as others. Though what I meant by customer support are the availability of stores, accessories, customer online/phone/in store support, repairs, 3rd party repairs and such.
Like, if your battery went bad or the screen cracked and need a replacement, it’s probably easier to find a replacement for Sony phones than Sharp ones. I think to some extent, that is more important than software updates.
Sharp is a way less known phone brand here in Taiwan. For the price of the regular, you could get the Xiaomi 13 or a Galaxy S23, and for the price of the pro you could straight up get the Xperia 1 V. All of the phones above would probably also have better customer support than Sharp.
And then factor in that it needs a team to maintain it, to prevent future compatibility issues or vulnerabilities, which is also expensive.
Yeah, fair. What I thought was that critical thinking is a skill that everyone should have, which makes it a life skill rather than a hobby where everyone has a different one and its fine not to have.
Though something like learning multiple languages or even just a second language is another example where it could be classified as both hobby and crucial life skill in my books.
Well, to me it sounds more like a skill rather than a hobby.
That’s a hobby?
You forgot “extremely niche” in that sentence.
Throughout the video he has been emphasizing that this feature is only probably going to appeal to only a handful of people who wants it. He also mentions that the crypto value the phone carries has been tanking for a while, and tells the majority of people to buy other 600 dollar phones rather than this.
Can’t speak for other people, but I myself have multiple IEMs, and would use it on my phone and PC. The dongle would not be fixed at all times in my example.
Don’t mind the downvotes. Fair trade and eco-friendliness are both important, but sometimes you can’t get both. Gray area exists, and I don’t judge anyone who places one before another. Provided they understand both of course.
Why not no adapters in the first place? They are still an extra thing to carry, not to mention how easy it is to lose or break them.
Wow that sucks.
I’m assuming that you’ve gone through all the troubleshooting steps already, so I won’t bother you with that.
Edit: sending it back to repair is probably hard too, since Sony’s market share is so low compared to Apple/Samsung, I imagine it would be harder to find a place that fixes them.
Every photocopy machine I’ve come across that accept USB sticks do not support exFAT, so what I would do with my USB stick is to split it into two partitions, one FAT32 and the rest exFAT.
