Got free-running vision after enough Mirrors Edge. Not literally painted red, but might as well been.
A classic nerd from Norway.

Of course they dont. Not a chance with that much video added every hour. Also everything gotta be automated. And in favor of those who can make the most legal trouble. And thats companies, not the many various smaller IP-owners.
Just rubs me the wrong way that only Google are finding this business worth it. None of the other companies, even with massive amounts of storage and cdn infrastructure, are able to compete for long.
Microsoft could have done it if storage was all. They got the infrastructure, the tech, cdn infrastructure , and even had a lot of big business customers already using Azures media streaming services. Instead they are withdrawing.
90s?! Does it have a login screen with a fat guy mocking me if I didn’t say the magic word? Or a hidden π link i can click on to bypass authentication?
The biggest drain is the copyright fights, I’m guessing. Defending against and pleasing every big company with an interest.
Click on all the squares containing a human weak spot.
Its music level released on YT gave it a lot of exposure. If even that wasn’t enough, what hope do we have for an Alan Wake 3 or Control 2 without a crappy tacked-on monetization scheme? Because thats always next if a singleplayer game series doesn’t make as much money as the publishers wanted it to.
Don’t trust it.Cold or noise won’t help, nor will the adrenaline, nor daylight. You will fall asleep. Been there, done driving my car into a rock wall at just 30km/h. I’m glad I had dropped off the passenger already because the passenger side couldn’t fit a passenger anymore.
Given up entirely, or are you hoping we all join a hive mind to solve our problems?
So all you gotta steal is $300 for a plane ticket. That should be relatively easy, right?
But then the DRM on the ink cartridge will block us from using it! /s
Damn how far we’ve fallen, that companies do actually try this, and still doesnt go bottom up from the bad reputation.
A lot of communities went to Discord for some reason. I don’t get it, its not the same as reddit at all.
I also just find uBlock Origin supports more advanced features.
Googling it and according to one answer the only difference between uBlock Origin and AdGuard browser extensions is that uBlock has a feature where they can hide stuff instead of completely blocking it. Two comments said AdGuard was the more techy one, and most users would prefer uBlock Origin because of that. A bunch of comments are people who obviously havent tried them both. Some are confusion about the difference between AdGuard desktop program and AdGuard browser extensions.
Maybe better if I just test it for myself.
some of the functionality being locked behind a paywall
The entire desktop app, yes. That does DNS blocking. Not the browser extensions, no blocked features there.
switched back to the free browser extensions for a reason I dont remember anymore.
I remember now. It caused havok with a lot of UWP apps. So I went to browser-extensions only.
If you use say, Firefox for Android, then you don’t have much choice besides uBlock,
Or AdGuard. I run the AdGuard browser extension on my Firefox for Android. It claims to also have one for iOS Safari. It has a paid desktop app, and that one add DNS blocks. I tried it once and paid for a license, but then I switched back to the free browser extensions for a reason I dont remember anymore.
To all you uBlock Origin fans: Any reason why nobody ever recommend AdGuard over uBlock Origin? Anything questionable about it? Or is it just that uBlock is well-known?
I am curious and exited to hear what tricks they have used.
Theres nothing in the engine reqiring to fill every cell between two cells. Might as well be empty space, or cells with random generated terrain.
Also how are they doing the ship interior cell? Loading a cell without removing the old? Why aren’t they using the same thing for interior windows in houses then?
No, just that there are no invisible walls. After 7 hours of flying, she reached a paper-cutout of the planet.
I’ve given up. The war for privacy is lost. The only thing we can fight for now is having the same open insight into companies that they have on us. And try to push the companies out of governments.
(please don’t listen to my defeatism, keep fighting as long as you got the energy)
You might already heard this one but I didn’t learn until a relatively recent internet meme that its only here in Norway that something being “complete texas” means its completely chaotic and messy.
Also I’m using “what the fir forest” (“hva i granskauen”) as a replacement for “what the hell” and I have no idea where I’ve picked it up… Nobody else around me do, not even family. Works just as fine though against pain and annoyances.
