In fact killing him could have made things worse for the USA. See 9/11 for a recent example.
Pretty sure they’re responding to that part.
That’s probably because the website sent an email to the person and asked them to answer the questions.
How else will you fit in dozens of ads?
Also have made multiple google accounts on a chromebook without a phone. But its been years.
I think their comment was more about how those content with bread and circuses will tolerate a lot more abuse in other ways to avoid risk losing those things. When doing nothing is punished by the stick of death, the other sticks seem a lot less intimidating.
At the time I switched, the built-in blocker worked on a site I regularly used while Firefox+ublock did not (I think it would just prevent things from working or cause infinite ad-loops). If I wasn’t looking for an alternative adblocker, would probably have never bothered switching. There’s also the “get pocket change from using our browser” thing. Some may have been speculating on the value of BATs?
Madara was trying to do some contract work for a delivery company in my dream. There was a law that certain goods had to be directly delivered by employees if it would be dangerous if in the wrong hands or something (idk) and Madara was clearly annoyed. He clearly thought “who better to deliver something like that. I got rinnegan and sharingan and OP, no one can mess with me.”
When I look at my subscriptions, I sort by new because it lets me see what I want quicker. Top is filled with old things so I almost never use it. Hot is what I use if not restricting to just subs. Once I’m done looking at what’s new, I’m done. No wasting time on stuff I’ve seen before.
The money would be wasted on things like super yachts anyways. At least a good chunk of this waste goes to things like feeding and housing soldiers and contractors and paying those people and all the people who make the food, supplies, etc. Seems less wasteful than just giving it to billionaires. Granted, the weapons, when they actually function at all, can be used to cause harm to many people…
Don’t you mean generated trillions of dollars (for private war profiteers)?
For me, I think the criteria I’d use for saying someone has a decent understanding of math is knowing that math has underlying rules and most things can be understood from those basic rules (each problem is not just an arbitrary magic trick to get an answer that was impossible figure out) and perhaps also being able to ask “novel” questions (compared that what you already know) and taking reasonable steps to answer it with the rules you do know and the tools you have (doesn’t need to be successful). I think counting could be done with any consistent set of sounds and it doesn’t matter whether yours just reading those sounds for a list or not as long as you know roughly what they correspond to in terms of time. I don’t think a lot of humans have much understanding of math, I think some computers already beat a lot of humans with respect to that.
Given capital strikes are a thing, simply not taking money doesn’t mean they are immune the influence of those entrenched interest groups. But it’s certainly better than outright corruption.
I thought it was the other way around; the instance is supposed to apologize to anotherlemmyuser.
