Actually, the meat eater did all the cooking and was very considerate with everyone’s wishes :-)

And keep your teeth and gums healthy. Take care of them. Not only brushing and flossing, but don’t eat all day long and stay away from juices and sodas, since they are acidic and wear away the enamel of the teeth. Finally, try to keep your weight in check and eat your veggies (not always the same ones) and some fruits.
To add: drink plenty of non caloric fluids and keep away from too much UV (use sun screen). And avoid the heat, since older people can’t regulate hot temperatures as well. And, for countries where you can afford it, get medical checkups or go to the doctor when something seems off. In my european country we have certain free, voluntary checkups at certain ages to check for things like colon cancer and breast cancer.
I don’t mind. I understand the enthusiasm since i switched recently (again) too.
As for windows; i think one of the main reasons people switch has to do with how bad windows has become. It’s bloated, it feels like everything is spied on, and in 11 they add AI and not to be helpful to their customers. So, a lot of people will say: hey, i switched to linux and finally, i’m rid of that evil windows. Many people might not know that much about linux just yet, so they are maybe - i’m speculating here - moving away from something unpleasant, rather than switching to linux because of the many advantages.
As for the linux 4 noobs community, i joined but it feels pretty dead and so, i ask my noob questions (apart from trying to do my own research) here, rather than over there. Are you implying that noobs are not really welcome to ask their questions here? It would be fine with me if the noob community was filled with people who are enthusiastically asking questions, but the most recent posts are a month old, so not very inviting.
Lol, it was probably late or i was in haste, sorry :-)

It’s like a musical story
Haha, yep, joined the knitting one, even though i’m on a hiatus. Still nice to see people show off their work.
I had no idea about that instance; i joined once, asked for a community and someone immediately shared one, so i thought it was very helpful. Thanks for letting me know!
As an aside; i really like
It’s a great and easy way to get an overview of new communities or communities with some new activity. I check interesting communities and if i like them, i subscribe. There is also a community where you can ask for a certain community. I asked once and someone replied and pointed me to an interesting community:
I really try to make an effort to contribute. I sometimes still find it a bit uncomfortable - i remember the harsh ways people got called out/downvoted/got incredibly unkind replies on reddit-, but i try to do it anyway, if i feel i have something to contribute/something kind to say/have a question
A few months ago, there were quite some people urging everyone to actively post and comment, to make the communities more lively and engaging.
For me this was food for thought: https://restoreprivacy.com/startpage-system1-privacy-one-group/

Or the tap
This sentence made me lol!
On a more serious note: when i remember to do it, i take my keys - which are always in my pocket - and touch a metal door knob with them.
True. I failed to mention i also have a wooden cutting board for my more expensive knives.
