Surely this is intersectional though right? Not all men are the same or have the same experience of political issues. I can see how straight white cis men might feel like these spaces aren’t for them. But queer men might feel differently about this. Black men also.
Also if you feel like existing spaces aren’t for you, then free to create your own spaces. There’s nothing holding you back.
I agree with those people, don’t do it. Not unless you have a very specific reason for doing so like wanting to be an academic (you’d have about as much success with this as trying to be a professional athlete) or a phd level industry position.
So does meditation according to my psychiatrist
Smart enough to get into a phd program but dumb enough to think doing a phd was a good idea.
From what I’ve seen gender diverse people generally seem to understand the difference between someone’s who’s just made a mistake and someone who refuses to use the correct pronoun despite being corrected numerous times.
What do you feel like you’re unable to say?
I downvote comments that I feel are not constructive to the conversation. This includes things like unnecessary aggression / attacking, spreading misinformation, using offensive slurs or language, and trolling. I don’t downvote based on differences of opinion - in fact I upvote people who disagree with me if they’ve engaged in a respectful and genuine way. I also upvote comments that I think are well written and insightful. Sometimes I upvote comments that have been downvoted and I can’t see a valid reason as to why.
I have both and experience sensory issues differently. The autistic sensory issues are definitely more significant and impactful. Like my brain just cannot process things once it gets overwhelmed, sometimes it’s painful and feels like my head is going to burst. ADHD sensory issues are more attention based, so I don’t get overwhelmed in the same way, just frustrated and less able to control my executive function. I can also get hyperfixated on a specific thing, whereas with autism it just becomes all one big overwhelming stream of data that I can’t process.
This is so strange to me. Not the polyamory, the weird hate of it. I’m in a monogamous relationship and polyamory just doesn’t appeal to me. But I don’t really give a shit about what other people do or who they fuck as long as it’s consentual.
I’m honestly surprised by this because doesn’t Finland have like one of the best public education systems in the world? I’ve always thought strongly funded and accessible education is like the antidote to fascism, but it seems it’s much more complex than that. Fascists just always know how to push the right buttons to exploit people’s fears.
I hope this email finds you well.
Ok hold up so the way I’m understanding this is that its tilt (day) is slower than it’s rotation around the sun (year). Is that right or am I way off?
I have a MSW and wish I did an MPA instead lol.
Part of me liked being love bombed. Through therapy I’ve been able to understand that this part of me is the traumatized child who desperately needed love.
I actually think community based sustainability is going to be a huge in demand area as climate change worsens. Depending on how much you want to sell your soul to the capitalist machine, there will be plenty of work opportunities in helping companies implement sustainability initiatives.
Also, social work and community development are widely applicable across the human services industry. You could get a job in government or not for profit organisations. In order to qualify as a social worker you’d probably have to do a masters, but there’s plenty of community based roles that you can get into with a bachelors.
Our first nation’s people are one of the oldest cultures in the world which is really amazing if you consider just how harsh the country is to live in.
If the UK had a preferential voting system the Tories would have won a lot more seats
