It absolutely incentivizes the target audience. Apple isn’t a technology company they are a lifestyle company. They aren’t selling a value proposition, they are selling an image.

Yes they do absolutely. Turn on the TV and see colourful ads of young hipsters using Apple products and dancing to trendy music.
If Apple products did not need awareness then Apple would not spend billions of $ a year advertising them.
Corporations aren’t stupid they don’t waste money and resources on ineffectual efforts.
People need constant reminder of Apple products otherwise why would anyone buy an phone with half the capabilities of the competition and 4x the price.
This post is likely a different kind of ad, one which gets people taking and thinking about Apple products which keep them top of mind.
Are you a native advertising agency posting awareness of Apple products?
Does it have an SD card reader and headphone jack?
Bad bot.
Is there any scientific, objective test for it such as a blood or biomarker test or is it a series of subjective questionaires?
This makes zero sense. Google is the one you need to protect yourself from.
Because your phone has an entire OS- the baseband layer that runs under android and is completely out of the users or Androids control.
When you put your phone in airplane mode for example this doesn’t stop your phone from connecting to cell towers. All you are doing is removing your ability to control the connection.
You cant really degoogle an Android.
Did they even bother to replace captive portal this time?
What about SUPL AGPS? I guarantee their degoogled phone is still constantly pinging Google at the lower layers.
What did you really expect for the company that turned personal computer technology into a jail?
You can do something about the first two points.
Your third point is more difficult. Unless things have changed recently, there isn’t really any way to mitigate your third point. This area is not well understood
Until you get Google play services off your your phone Google will know everything. Its basically a root kit.
Thank you for writing this post. I wont be buying a computer from a company that forces Google spyware products on users.
I will look for alternatives now.
I bought Asus phones until they stopped making phones with SD cards readers and headphone jacks.
Taking away useful features while increasing the price didn’t seem like a sustainable business move to me at the time.
I saw Sony phones on display at a Song store. There was something wrong with their screens. The phones are long and very narrow and the resolution was all stretches out, like the icons looked distorted. Different then every other phone I have seen. In this normal? They looked defective.
Does it have a headphone jack and SD card reader?
No? not buying it.
Sure I have, bought one a few months ago. I just started buying phones that offer the features I want. I haven’t bought a Samsung phone since they took away features I wanted while also increasing their prices.
What are your top 5 criteria?
It seems that KDE spend 100% of the development time rounding corners and 0% fixing the multitude of crippling crashes and bugs that plague the software making it unusable for daily computing.
I don’t think this organisation has its priorities straight.
