fully agree, both have flaws and advantages. but both are better than phillips.

until someone tries to use a phillips bit on a pozidriv screw.

pozidriv is better, but at that point, just use torx.

the sizes are definetley hard to figure out, but the “if it wiggles, it’s too small” rule applies to torx as well.

phillips doesn’t scale any better. i’m actually glad whenever i see torx on small devices instead.

pozidriv is pretty cool, but annoying to use since people confuse it with phillips all the time so you end up with a lot of stripped screws.

torx is the way to go. their sizing is odd, but it transfers torque well and is wear-resistant.

yeah, on android it’s kind of a pain. but being able to use extensions is insanely good.

a good product is the best advertising. make linux usable as a daily driver, and people come flowing in from the shithole that is windows.

i have a few all time favourites on android:

-Aves, a really good gallery app

-openboard, awesome keyboard without tracking software

-fairmail, really good email app

-liftoff for lemmy

-dolphin emulator, if your phone can run it

-SD maid SE, one of those storage cleaner thingys

-syncthing, for making backups over WiFi

there’s even more i use on windows. if you look hard enough, you will find an alternative to every program you’re using.

no headphone jack, no buy. bought the FP4 thinking “it can’t be that bad”. how wrong i was.

in my mind, it’s not even capitalism. there are rules against monopolies, and people are supposed to pay their taxes to not become unfathomably rich. these rules are just not enforced, because everyone is arguing about wether trans people deserve to exist or not. politicians need to take their job seriously. and the only way to change that is from within. join a party and do jour job properly. complaining about capitalism isn’t making the situation better either.
