The main problem is the lack of professional software support (+ the clusterfuck of repositories and different packet formats) and that simply nobody of the big backers wants to push for the desktop market. Canoncial gave up on it when they killed their convergence idea and the others never tried in the first place.
At least the first problem could be solved by Flatpak and the Flathub store. It’s fucking annoying when the software has Linux support but Software A only others rpm packages while software B only has deb file for Ubuntu. At least I have now Distrobox for this shit, but I really hope Flatpak will solve this shit.
Okay entertain me and tell me how you would convince Putin to end his invasion peacefully.
Hate is a strong word. People are just fucking annoyed by them since they constantly act like a 4Chan Troll brigades to trigger the “Liberals” and make everything political. They swarmed every instance that was federated with them and pushed hard their “Murcia/the West/Ukraine = bad and China/Russia = good” agenda and attacked people with different opinions.
Distrobox. It’s a godsend if you use production software since for whatever reason, many companies often only support one package format + specific distro. I prefer Flatpaks and hope their store implementation will take off but Distrobox just works for now.
