How hard do you have to search to find these x11 fanboys? Because whenever this topic comes up, the only detractors I see are users who complain because they can’t use wayland for various reasons.

On the other hand those on the other extreme are easier to find, as they always celebrate x11 users (willingly or not) getting screwed; so toxic.

Not really, wayland still has quite a few incompatibilities, lacks and bugs. X11 is still useful for many and indispensable for some.

Wayland is the future and X11 will have to die sooner rather than later, but not today.

For a data disk? Absolutely, even if you’re not going to configure anything, you can copy inside the partition instantly and detect the bitrot.
If you’re willing to step it up a notch, there’s also cool stuff like transparent compression, deduplication and incremental send/receive of entire subvolumes.

I’m a bit confused to see that the hate falls entirely on ubuntu. Isn’t the change in the ppa of mozillateam, owned by mozilla?

How is the quality of the offline translator?

Nobody would call linux to android (or vice versa), despite having the same kernel.
At least if we speak colloquially, the environment/ecosystem is really enough to define the OS.

They have a very long history of mismanaging money and wasting it on worthless projects, not to mention multi-million dollar executive salaries while laying off hundreds of workers and many other controversies.

Firefox is the only reason I don’t want that useless walking corpse to die for good. And I can’t even support it, since it belongs to the corporation rather than the foundation.
