I was an og GW player. I hadnt played GW in like 15-20 years? I came into GW2 just 2 months ago and was overwhelmed at first with everything an old mmo adds over the years. I finally found the play groove and we are all enjoying it, even the ones still playing WoW. So much so I might grab the living story addons.
I was just about to say. My friends wanted something to just mess around in, and I had no idea it was still as popular as it is.

Thank you for this. You are the 2nd person I’ve heard from that have said the same thing about undiagnosed ADHD/ADD. I didn’t get panic attacks until post covid, and I’m also over 30. I have seriously considered checking out the ADHD path when I get insurance again. I have come off my anti-anxiety meds in preparation for that path and hope it’s the right move.
I’m not diagnosed adhd/add/autism spectrum, but I do have a LOT of the signs. I am diagnosed panic disorder/anxiety/depression. Unexpected sounds are a major trigger for my panic attacks.
A dropped pan, child screaming, or some other unexpected sound can trigger a panic attack in seconds. However, I also love the gun range, loud concerts, loud movies. It’s me telling my brain to expect something unusual that makes those things tolerable. I still have moments where I have to drive with no radio, step out of a movie, or head to the restroom at a concert to calm down. It’s so weird to me, and my wife sometimes doesn’t understand.
I know there are working ones, unfortunately all but overwatch don’t work from current games I play.
This was all in response to why anyone would choose a windows machine. I’m a use case that needs windows. I don’t love that I do, but it is what it is.
If you want to play anything with anticheat, you can’t on a steamdeck. And gamepass was my number one reason to not get a steamdeck. I play Xbox too, I might as well get the most bang for my buck if I already subscribe.
I specifically did so I can use any game service beyond Steam without hacking stuff. I know I can turn on my Ally and use Steam, Gamepass, roms, sail the high seas, virtually anything, out of the box.
My Ally didn’t have any bloat. Curious which ones do.

New Orleans had virtually every chain retail cvs/walgreens/target etc. with half the store behind glass. A lot of the items weren’t even what you would normally consider theft targets.
Exactly. Out of the big 3, they stick to their guns of making solid hardware, great 1st party games and not gouging customers for online service.
Now if they would REASONABLY charge for their remastered games, I’d have almost nothing to complain about.
For sure they have grown in price. I haven’t noticed any degradation in quality though. I just hope their transition to more sustainable pieces doesn’t drop the quality.
