Quite a few good follow-on jokes in this thread, but the frequent screenshotting behavior begins to acknowledge something we can leverage into a powerful tool for learning.
All one needs to do is complete the last steps in what is the beginning of a Zettelkasten system, the first step having been collecting the information (the screenshot).
To give some perspective, that’s a little less than two Nazi holocausts per year for 100 years.
I do both, and it’s heavily dependent on what the purpose of the note is for.
I keep a yellow legal pad and mechanical pen. Stuff that goes on the pad are usually the ultimate in throwaway notes. Scribbles that are wholly transitory.
Then I have a digital note management system (Obsidian.md) and use it to maintain a personal journal and Zettelkasten.
Some yellow pad notes might flow into Obsidian, but not always.
This is exactly that episode of Black Mirror. The use case is different, but the concept is identical.

You may (or may not) be surprised to learn that modern jet liners have much higher glide ratios than small planes (like a Cessna 172), though even the glide ratio of a Cessna is pretty damn good at about 9:1, getting 9,000 feet horizontally for every 1,000 feet of altitude.

Evernote had that for a long while, but as I understand it they’re moving to a new revenue model and lots of people are unhappy.
There might be a plug-in for Obsidian.md which provided a great Zettelkasten environment.
