Amazon.com’s Whole Foods Market doesn’t want to be forced to let workers wear “Black Lives Matter” masks and is pointing to the recent US Supreme Court ruling permitting a business owner to refuse services to same-sex couples to get federal regulators to back off.

National Labor Relations Board prosecutors have accused the grocer of stifling worker rights by banning staff from wearing BLM masks or pins on the job. The company countered in a filing that its own rights are being violated if it’s forced to allow BLM slogans to be worn with Whole Foods uniforms.

Amazon is the most prominent company to use the high court’s June ruling that a Christian web designer was free to refuse to design sites for gay weddings, saying the case “provides a clear roadmap” to throw out the NLRB’s complaint.

The dispute is one of several in which labor board officials are considering what counts as legally-protected, work-related communication and activism on the job.

Signage and displays isn’t a violation of dress code… So yes. This is different.

I’m sure if they decided they could make money off of the BLM movement they’d put up signage and displays for it too. But they’re the one’s paying the bills… they get to make up the rules in their establishment.

It’s the very same symbolism that they’re preventing their employees from wearing. It’s hypocrisy and you fucking know it.

Nope. It’s following company policy, because that company hired you and is paying your paycheck to follow their rules and to do the job.

You’re the type of guy who’d defend Amazon making their workers piss in bottles.

Or deny that it happens at all

            Not even close to true.

            But whatever floats your boat.

Edit: To make it clear. I believe that company’s should follow the law… Including those mandating break times.

Your world must be sad and monochrome. But you seem like the kinda guy who values rules above what’s morally right, so you probably like it that way

Ah yes, we’ve ran out of meaningful arguments for our beliefs so we’re going to resort to ad hominem.

Nothing about this has anything to do with morals… but you go ahead and keep preaching. I’m sure other people out there will listen. Just like I’m sure other companies don’t care about wearing a BLM mask and pin, these people can work at those companies.

And maybe one day you’ll get a job… and give a fuck about making a living.

Don’t want to have a dress code? Get a different job that doesn’t have one.

Lol I work at an amazing place that doesn’t prohibit me from being who I am and supporting freedom.

It’s disgusting that you don’t feel that everyone should have the same right

It’s not a right. Wearing a fucking pin means nothing and grants nobody freedom.

                Further…

Also, they won’t even let you recognize veterans by wearing a poppy

I’m in this class as an ex-army veteran… Don’t wear a poppy for us in the USA. It means nothing here.

Oh right, your country doesn’t bother to acknowledge veterans either. That must make you happy, hey? No sign of support for your group of people at all?

LMFAO. Yeah… alright. You know nothing about this country then. Keep railing on it without knowing anything about it then.

Wearing a pin or paraphernalia accomplishes nothing expect giving the corporate fuckhead that made that paraphernalia money, and makes yourself feel good.

You wearing a poppy doesn’t actually help a veteran. Get over yourself. I don’t find myself lacking help or support nor do I demand acknowledgement.
