    Steam and GOG also take 30%. Nintendo, Microsoft, Google, and Apple too for that matter. The only exception is Epic who takes IIRC 12%?

      FWIW the Steam cut is lower for games that sell well. It’s probably below 25% for BG3 overall.

      Yep, correct. Steam and Gog charge a provision of 30% on every sale.
      Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo als charge this 30% on Top of that they chage a toll for releasing your game. And they charge you if you want to play online with the console you already payed.

      Epic is not a good comparison here because they are subsidized by chinese money.

        Tencent is a very prolific investor as has been pointed out. The way this is phrased also comes across a bit xenophobic. Please keep that in mind when commenting further. Thanks
