As someone who struggled for years learning that vile language, I’m glad we switched to English. It could have been German and its 16 different way to spell an article.

And no, I did have to ask someone wtf he said in German, I don’t understand it so much as know like three words (“Deutch” and a couple others) and recognize the similarities between English and German because I play transport simulators and the logistics sim game communities are pretty much centered around Germany and the UK.
